Our relationships with our suppliers are crucial to our success as a business, and it’s important that our sales and commercial teams stay up to date with all the latest information about the products we sell.

On 21st and 22nd of September, the DCS sales and commercial teams visited the Unilever offices to do just that. The teams took part in two days of thoroughly engaging and interactive sessions with the Unilever brand and R&D teams across Household, Personal Care and Beauty. Unilever demonstrated how the consumer landscape is changing, and we discussed key priorities that will help DCS win in our channels in 2023. Unilever also presented their exciting brand plans, product innovation and NPD for 2023.

On the second day, we ran an innovative ‘Dragon’s Den’ session, in which our DCS Account Managers had the opportunity to pitch for investment funds from Unilever to help our customers grow. Over £1m of incremental opportunities were presented to The Dragons (Mike Lowis and Gavin McLaren from Unilever, plus Lily Hartin and Simon Whitehead) with some brilliant feedback and exciting plans agreed for a fast start in 2023.

This was the first face-to-face Unilever cascade since 2019, and it was fantastic for everyone to be together again, celebrating a hugely successful year with Unilever and pushing on into 2023.
